The Evergreen State is no newcomer to artisan brewing. Bert Grant, a pioneer in the world of craft beer, started making his brews close to the hop fields in Yakima more than 20 years ago. That tradition of fresh beer continues in Washington today.

As the "last frontier," Alaska certainly has been forging its own way in the craft beer world.
